My Services

Individual Adult Therapy

Individual adult therapy is a confidential, one-on-one therapeutic process between a licensed therapist and a client, aimed at addressing emotional, psychological, or behavioral issues. It provides a safe space to explore personal challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues, trauma, and self-esteem. You and I work toward emotional healing, self-awareness, and personal growth. Sessions are tailored to your needs, promoting coping skills and mental well-being.

Child and Adolescent Therapy

Individual child therapy is a specialized form of therapy that helps children navigate emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. Using age-appropriate techniques like therapeutic play and art, I create a safe environment where children can express feelings, understand difficult emotions, and develop coping skills in a way that usually feels like play. It addresses issues like anxiety, trauma, behavioral problems, and family changes, promoting emotional well-being and healthy development. Guardians are included depending on need and as appropriate. We talk more about this in the Intake session.

Virtual

At this time, I am providing care solely through virtual sessions. Many people ask, "Is online therapy really effective?" I understand the skepticism, as I once shared it. Before the pandemic, I never imagined offering therapy virtually, but circumstances changed, and so did my perspective. Studies now show that teletherapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy for many clients, including children. During your intake, I will assess whether telehealth is the best fit for your needs or if you might benefit more from in-person care.

*An ongoing session is scheduled to be 55 minutes long an intake to be 90 minutes long. To cancel an appointment, please contact me 24 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance of the scheduled appointment and missed sessions will result in a $60 charge.

Insurance

Navigating insurance can be challenging, and I completely understand the frustration it can cause. The more I delve into the complexities of the insurance system, the more I realize how much there is to learn. My aim is to make the process as straightforward as possible for you.

Below, I have outlined two lists of the insurance plans I currently accept. Please select the button below the list that applies to your insurance or situation to schedule a free 15 minute consultation. Insurance sets the cost you will pay for your sessions.

If you plan to pay out of pocket, do not see your insurance listed but wish to use out-of-network benefits, or are unsure of your coverage and need assistance (I've been there too!), you can either reach out to me through the contact page or click the button labeled "Click Me - Alma" We’ll work through the details together during our free 15 minute consultation call.

Good Faith Estimate Notice

Effective January 1, 2022, a federal ruling went into effect called the “No Surprises Act”. Individuals who are not enrolled in a health insurance plan, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
